About the ECC:I

Ecumenical Catholics have an ancient faith but place a modern day relevance within it for those seeking a spiritual life in Christ. Please roam around our website and learn a little more about our ministry and mission. Ecumenical Catholicism as a Christian identity (rather than a denomination) is fast growing in numbers throughout the world.

The ECC:I holds to the integrity of the original universal faith catholic, independent of the Vatican, respecting all other faith traditions. As we remain to the best of our ability faithful to the original Catholic teaching of the Apostolic Church we also recognize our fellow sisters and brothers of reform traditions as they remain true to their understanding of Word and Sacrament. We make no judgement on others who may differ from us in the ministry of Holy Orders that gives structure to ecclesiastical communities. We accept the Seven Sacraments and the Apostles and Nicene Creed. We hold to the ancient Catholic teaching of the Communion of the Saints which we see as one of the essentials of our understanding of what it is to be 'Catholic' and we respect the historical centers of the Church.

Jesus prayed a prayer at the end of his earthly life that has yet to be answered. At his last supper with His disciples He prayed for all who would believe in him: "that they may all be one; even as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me."  John 17:21
